We are looking for a
Services Engineer - Trent MRO
(f/m/d)
to join our team in
Dahlewitz
, near Berlin, who will create value through optimized MRO engineering solutions. In this role, you’ll work across the global Rolls-Royce and MRO network, driving efficiency, competitiveness, and continuous improvement to meet our life-cycle cost and service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Technical Package to ensure modern, flexible, cost-effective, and technically efficient MRO methods.
- Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair processes and ensure compliance across the global repair network.
- Ensure all Maintenance, Operational, and Overhaul Technical Data meets regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements – delivered through our technical authoring supply chain.
- Support Product Quality Assessments, including First and Last Article Inspections (FAI/LAI), and approve repair suppliers in accordance with Verification Production Method (GP EP3.2.4).
- Analyze product service deterioration and gather insights from MRO facilities to inform product maturity strategies and life-cycle cost improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations, and Design to identify and deliver engineering improvements.
- Ensure all technical solutions meet agreed standards and return service-run components to full serviceable condition.
- Support the setup and qualification of new repair and overhaul facilities and the development of new capabilities.
- Identify technology gaps and contribute to innovation in repair and overhaul processes.
Technical Skills & Experience
- A relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing) or equivalent industrial experience.
- Strong understanding of component functionality and system performance with respect to form, fit, and function.
- Proven ability to apply practical, timely solutions to technical challenges.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, special processes, and repair technologies.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply practical manufacturing and repair thinking.
- Fluency in English and German.
